Hey man! Thanks a lot for your assets. I used them in my game named "Pistro", which I submitted for a gamejam named "Bored Pixels Jam 8". Though I couldn't donate you, I credited you inside of my game as well as the gamejam page. I would like to see you trying my game, though it's not that cool.
And please rate the game on the gamejam page, if you like it. It helps a lot.
Thank you so much for this! I used it for my recent 2D pixel-art platform game (which you can check here https://nachoperez.itch.io/fruitwatchers) on a Special Level set in a jungle and it fitted perfectly!! Awesome work dude!
Sorry for the late reply... I haven't seen a tutorial to do this, I've just been trying different techniques until I was able to achieve it.
Basically what I did was apply a tint effect to the layers where I have all the graphic elements and I changed the RGB value based on the colors of a gradient that I made according to the colors I needed and also made a layer (on top) with a multiply effect that contains a dark blue rectangle (the size of the visible area) whose opacity gradually changes to be darker at night and transparent at day.
It's a bit more complex than it sounds but basically that's the way I did it.
